We welcome your participation in a Devenish Group Networking Event on Friday, February 24th at the DF Conservation studio, 361 Stagg Street, 3rd Floor in Brooklyn, from 5:00pm to 6:30 pm.
David Fuentes, who has been providing restoration and custom finishing services to collectors, dealers, interior designers, fine arts advisors, and architects for over 25 years, will host the event. David will be showing various examples of both period and contemporary pieces. We invite you to come train your eye, whether as a new collector or a seasoned Connoisseur!

The last week in January marked the beginning of Chinese New Year. According to the Chinese calendar, it is now the Year of the Dragon. In the Shengxiao, or Chinese Zodiac, the Dragon symbolizes a long list of attributes, among which are strength, vigor, pride, self-assuredness, and nobility.
News of the advent of Chinese New Year reminded me of a certain oppressively hot day in July 2011, while visiting New York City. The late morning sun beat down relentlessly on midtown Manhattan as I trudged along 59th Street with my wife, a talented photographer, armed with her trusty Nikon.
